V.M. Salgaocar College of Law

V.M. Salgaocar College of Law founded in 1973, is Goa’s first law college. Affiliated with Goa University and recognized by the Bar Council of India, the college offers both a three-year LL.B. program and a five-year integrated B.A. LL.B. program. The institution is also home to a dedicated Research Centre, offering a two-year LL.M. with specializations in Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Corporate Law, along with a Ph.D. in Law program that promotes advanced research and scholarship.

V. M. Salgaocar College of Law holds the unique distinction of being the first law college in India to receive an ‘A’ Grade accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC)—a recognition it has proudly earned once again in 2025 with a Cumulative Grade Point Average score of 3.2 on a four-point scale.
